Yes it's been a long break. I lost my inspiration for a good half a year and basically hit a momentous photo-block; but I'm back. And even though 7 months isn't long to age in the curve of your cheeks and angle of your eyebrows, it's long enough to age in maturity- as a person, and artist. I've changed quite a bit since my last visit to dA (for the better I'd say), as has my photo-style. I still have a fierce passion for macro, but in meeting one of my new best friends I've finally begun to experiment with portraiture. She's absolutely incredible in that field and is showing me the basics and such. It's so lovely to finally expand my horizons after such a long section of dormancy.. Honestly the silence of my shutter was slowly killing me. I've also borrowed and old Nikon FE2 film camera with Ilford B&W400 film. I'm going to be using my first darkroom soon, couldn't express my excitement in words if I tried.
I've also cleaned out my gallery to only show a few of my better old things to have under my new stuff. I'm still learning the ropes so as always any feedback is greatly appreciated. Hope you've all been well, and it's good to be back.
